I loved how empowering the experience was! Finally, I could choose to get more information about my body to make the best decision about my wellbeing and my health. This is a groundbreaking turn in more accessible health information for people wanting to understand more about what contraceptive options will work best for their lives. And I was beyond thrilled to get to be part of the journey and movement that allows us to understand how hormones and genes interplay with contraceptive medication.

After many bad experiences with birth control (that were dismissed by my doctor), finding The Birth Control Test made me feel seen. I finally felt like the crippling depression I felt on my birth control wasn't all in my head. Collecting my samples was relatively easy and I felt supported throughout the whole process. Getting my results and seeing my hormone levels gave me insight into my body that I hadn't had before. It gave me peace of mind to see my genetic results and know that I wasn't at a higher risk for blood clots. I felt like I was given information that was actually useful for me to make a decision about which birth control method would make the most sense for me. The conversation I had with the doctor was incredibly helpful for understanding my results further and it was so nice to be able to have a longer appointment than I get with my usual doctor. I felt like it gave me the time to actually address my concerns and talk about all of my options. I'm glad I have my results to refer to not just now, but whenever I plan to change my birth control method.

My experience with adyn was really great. I was able to make an important healthcare decision based on what I learned from the test. The amount of information that goes into the report is incredible — an in depth medical history in addition to the at-home test components...it's such a stark contrast to the way I've been prescribed birth control in the past. The customer support was also exceptional — I felt like I was talking to a person who cared about my experience.

I found my experience with adyn to be incredibly empowering. I was able to make a more informed decision about my next birth control post-baby. After going through a pregnancy and IVF with lots of changing hormones along the way, it was liberating to understand where and how my body had changed and how to best find the right medication at this point in my life.
adyn's test was really well designed! It had everything I needed. The packaging showed that it was clearly thought it, organized nicely, and was very detail oriented. I especially appreciated the visual imagery of using lemons to help with the DNA sample - genius! And so effective, because I'm already salivating bringing that citric thought to memory.
When I first received my birth control results, I felt like there were lots of options and directions that I could go next. Scheduling an appointment with a provider allowed me to talk through those options, ask questions, and receive even more of an individualized recommendation. The doctor was patient, kind, and empathetic to my current life situation. He answered questions pragmatically while taking my medical history into account and also providing additional information about how my body may respond to certain types of birth control. More importantly, the appointment didn't feel rushed and my concerns weren't minimized - a huge difference from past experiences I've had talking with my primary care providers. In fact, I felt like I spent more timing talking about birth control in this virtual appointment than at any of my past visits with my primary OBGYN.

This is the first time I've had hope because it's the first time I've felt like I have a chance at feeling better.
